Abstract

This paper examines the legal foundations of prosecutorial oversight regarding administrative liability for economic offenses in Uzbekistan. Using doctrinal legal analysis and literature review, the study analyzes the constitutional and legislative framework governing prosecutorial supervision in economic matters. The research identifies four key characteristics of this oversight: its comprehensive nature across multiple legal domains, its role in maintaining economic stability, its preventive function, and its importance as a mechanism for detecting violations. The paper discusses challenges in the current system and proposes five recommendations for improvement, including enhancing legal mechanisms, implementing specialized approaches, utilizing modern technologies, strengthening interagency cooperation, and developing better effectiveness assessment criteria. The findings suggest that while Uzbekistan has established a solid legal foundation for prosecutorial oversight in economic matters, targeted reforms could significantly enhance its effectiveness in ensuring economic stability and protecting the rights of business entities.
